A Lil' Piece gift for an angel of a baby.

The sweetness and joy of a new little baby and all the love and memories of family around them.

My completed piece of angels watching over a new born baby and a prayer for the new baby

This project was created for a sweet family with a new baby on the way but also having recently loss of several very well loved and greatly missed family members.

As in all projects created by a Lil’ Piece artist, something(s) of the client, life/lifestyle and or the reason for the project is a key element of the inspiration.

The inspiration here comes from a sweet new beginning of the baby with memories of those well loved and always to be remembered.

The angels are representations of the family no longer living with them in physical sense, but still surrounding them in their hearts, and memories; as well as watching over and protecting the new baby.

picture of an angle that added to my inspiration for the project

As the artist for this project, I had a little bit of an advantage of knowing this family for many years. So, in the creation process when I found the image of one of the little angels that I considered for using, the look on its face immediately bought memories of a ‘look’ I remembered always seeing of the families resemblance. That image, ‘spoke’ to me, how the finished project would look.

There are two separate displays for this project, the vertical one is 11x14 and the other is 8x10. Both have the neutral color fabric background with a slight texture, for aesthetic appeal and uniqueness. The fabric was found in person, on another Lil' Treasure Hunt, at our local Joann Fabrics and Crafts store, but you should be able to purchase fabric on their website as well if you so choose to do so.

example of the foam squares used for the project and referred to in blog links

Each of the images are printed on cardstock and hand cut. Then foam mounting squares are added to the backs, like those shown, and found here on Amazon and Ebay. Recently Dollar Tree has been selling them as well; although theirs might be the larger squares, but they are very easily cut to a smaller shape.

By adding the foam squares to the images, it gives the images in the project the 3D effect that you see, and a shows how a little uniqueness is added to show off just how much the whole project was meant to be and always will be special.
